Video Game Design: Ages 10-16 Years Old
This course provides students with a fun interactive look at the world of video game design and development. Students enrolled in this camp will learn the basics of video game design and produce several different interactive video games to share with their friends and family. Students will work one-on-one with a camp provided laptop.

iGame Creators: Ages 6-10 Years Old
Want to create video games? This is an introductory course for younger students who want learn to build simple video games. This course combines the art of video game design and animation to create interactive characters that fly around the screen. Amaze your friends and family with your fun interactive games.  Students will work one on one with a camp provided laptop.

Web Design & Development: Ages 9-16 Years Old
This course is an in-depth look at the world of web design and development. Students enrolled in this session will learn how to build their own web site from start to finish using award winning suite of products.  The learning for this camp does not end at the door. Students will have access to their web site with free hosting for one year. Students will work one on one with a camp provided laptop.

Computer Keyboarding: Grades 1st-6th
Would you like to be able to type faster? This 4- day course will focus on proper finger placement and correct keystrokes while utilizing interactive software and fun online programs. Knowing how to type correctly and quickly is a 21st century literacy skill. Let's warm up our fingers and make our typing faster! This course is good for all levels and students can take this course multiple times as we are able to work with the children at their individual pace.

The Gaming Academy: Ages 10-17 Years Old
The gaming academy is an all - day course for students who love games. During this course students will be immersed into the world of 2D and 3D game design. The gaming academy is a combination of our Video Game Design, Advanced Game Design and 3D Game Design courses. The course offers students a variety of hands on experience designing and building their very own games. Students will work one-on-one with a camp provided laptop. Students are encouraged to bring a sack lunch.

Sports Coding Adventure: Grades 2nd-6th
First Start Computer Science is now offering their popular coding camp focusing on sports! Learn to code a fun soccer, tennis, archery or track game. Students will apply their creative, logical and mathematical skills to code a unique sports game that is challenging and fun. This camp is sure to bring in lots of cheers and a high level of accomplishment by the end of the day!

Discover STEM Coding: Grades K-4th
This camp teaches the building blocks of coding and serves as a foundation for more advanced coursework.  It is designed for new students with little or no coding experience. Students will have an engaging experience learning basic coding skills with practical applications. The course is recommended for children ages 5 to 9 years where we focus on mathematical skills, sequence, and repetition! Students work in virtual environments using computers/tablets, then practice and expand what they’ve learned using 3D construction materials such as wood, foam, and cardboard.

Application Design: Ages 9-17 Years Old

Pokémon Coding Adventure: Grades 2nd-8th
Calling all Pokémon fans! First Start Computer Science (FSCS) is now offering a Pokémon-themed coding camp! Mrs. R will teach you how to create your very own Pokémon games with your favorite Pokémon, such as Pikachu, Bulbasaur, Charmander, and Squirtle! Students will get step-by-step instructions to make a game where their favorite Pokémon can talk, move, dance, and even save Earth from alien monsters using their special attacks! Join this popular camp to spark your child’s curiosity with the endless possibilities of the amazing world of Pokémon!

Coding With Scratch: Grades 3rd-6th
This camp is perfect for the beginning coder!! Your Engineer will learn the basics of coding using the MIT developed Scratch program. They will learn to animate characters with not only movement but also sound, build a game, and much more! Students will also be provided with a step by step guide to take home at the end of the week so the fun can continue at home!! Be sure to bring a flash drive to take home your creations!

Super-Hero Animation: Grades 1st-6th
Bring your superheroes alive in this one of a kind half-day camp where your child will learn to animate a superhero of their choice to shrink, grow, clone or use their superhuman powers to save the world. Students also use the knowledge they gain to completely code their very own program to present to the whole class such as a superhero battle animation. We will end the camp with a small superhero craft to take home to celebrate their victory!

Star Wars Canvas & Coding Adventure: Grades 1st-5th
Calling all Star Wars fans! Paint It! KIDS Studio and First Start Computer Science are joining forces for a one-of-a-kind Star Wars Day Camp! We will start off the day in the art room painting our favorite furry Star Wars character Porg with acrylic paint on 11x14 canvas! After lunch, we will be moving into the computer lab to create your very own Star Wars computer game from scratch. You will learn step-by-step how to design, program and execute a game that you can take home to play with a friend! Be sure to bring a flash drive to save and take home your game!! If you love Star Wars, you will LOVE Star Wars Adventure Camp! All material will be provided but please bring a sack lunch.
