Scratch With Ozobot: Grades 1st-5th
Whilst the theory and logic of coding has remained the same for decades, methods have evolved significantly. This camp is ideal for younger kids to get to grips with coding. Scratch is a fantastic visual-based coding editor which enables children to create fun animations, interactive stories, games, sounds and much more! It’s the perfect introduction to coding and computational thinking and combined with the Ozobot (robot) – it makes coding for kids seriously fun! No previous computer coding experience required.

World of Minecraft Camp: Grades 1st-6th
For Minecraft players of all skill levels. Join the adventure that is MINECRAFT in this exciting camp that will immerse students into the game they love. Campers will play a special educational mod of the game on a secure server where they will explore a vast interactive ancient world map complete with thrilling quests and adventures. In another activity, campers will be divided into teams where they must work together in a survival mode to design, create, and build an entire virtual community on a volcano island. Each day will see a different set of challenges and games that will put their creativity and problem solving to the test.

Note: Campers should be able to read simple on-screen instructions. Also, campers will not need to bring a computer to camp and they will not need their own Mojang Minecraft account.

*Parents wanting to provide a day-camp experience for their child can sign their child up for both this camp and the morning/afternoon Minecraft Camp that runs during this same week. Campers who attend both camps are welcome to bring a sack lunch and stay and eat lunch with our camp counselors during the lunch break.

Advanced Minecraft Engineering Camp: Grades 3rd-8th
For intermediate and advanced Minecraft players. In addition to many of the activities and games presented in the "World of Minecraft Camp", campers will learn advanced crafting skills, complex Redstone engineering, and how to install and manage mods. Campers will put their engineering skills to the test in both survival and creative worlds with individual and team-based challenges and games including Spleef, Skywars, Race for the Wool, and many more.

NOTE: Campers will not need to bring a computer to camp but are encouraged though not required, to have their own Mojang Minecraft account so that they can try at home what they learn at camp.

*Parents wanting to provide a day-camp experience for their child can sign their child up for both this camp and the morning/afternoon Minecraft Camp that runs during this same week. Campers who attend both camps are welcome to bring a sack lunch and stay and eat lunch with our camp counselors during the lunch break.

Minecraft Build Battles: Grades 2nd-8th
For Minecraft players of all skill levels. Build Battles is for the Minecraft Player who enjoys building and showing off their creations. Each day will present campers with a different build challenge. A medieval castle, a luxurious mansion, a secret fortress, a deluxe tree house – these are just a few of the Build Battle challenges that will put their Minecraft skills to the test. At the end of each day campers will get to show off their creations to the rest of the class.

Note: Campers do NOT need a computer or a Mojang Minecraft Account.

VEX IQ Robotics Camp: Grades 5th-8th
Come to the VEX IQ Robotics Camp. Students will be introduced to VEX IQ robots and this year’s upcoming game. They will get to design, build, drive, test and refine their robot. They will also be introduced to basic programming. At the end of the week, students will compete in a Vex IQ tournament. Students in grades 5-8 are welcome.

Fairy Tale Engineering: Grades PreK-2nd
Do you like to help solve problems? Help the Three pigs survive the Big Bad Wolf, help Goldilocks rebuild Baby Bears chair, help The 3 Billy Goats Gruff cross the bridge and more! In this one week camp students will work together to help popular Fairy Tale characters have a different ending to their stories!

3-D Design Becoming a Superhero/EFK!: Grades 3rd-6th
You are the next hero to save the world! But first you need some gear! What better way to get the best gear than to design and print it yourself!! In 3D Design and Printing students will work in Tinkercad to create 3D designs ready for printing. Your Engineer will design their own Keychain with their Superhero name!! Students will also have opportunities to explore 3D pens and their uses in 3D design!

Robotics Wild Wonders: Grades K-2nd
In this Lego WeDo robotics camp, your little engineer will build many unique robots! They will learn basic computer skills while programming their robots to move. Your engineer will build a giraffe, scorpion and much more!!

Robotics Rescue Bots: Grades 3rd-6th
In this Lego Robotics class engineers will not only learn to build but also program their robots! In Rescue Bots, engineers will find new ways for their robots to provide rescue services during extreme disasters! Engineers will explore how to search for earthquake survivors, rescue a snowboarder trapped in an avalanche, and even learn how robots could be used during an Apocalypse!!

Adventures in Coding: Grades 3rd-6th
In this camp your engineer will explore the world of coding with the new Sphero Bolt!! Your engineer can do amazing things with this rolling robot! They can give the little sphere some personality by coding the 8x8 LED matrix to display designs, countdowns, and even faces! Using the built in gyroscopes, accelerometers, and much more the coding possibilities are endless! Engineers will play games, explore underwater, find Pokemon and so much more!

Engineer or Chef?: Grades K-2nd
Everyone has to eat, and engineers play a part in all the steps of getting food from the farms to your table! Engineers make food, package it, and find new ways to deliver it to you! In this camp, engineers will learn about assembly lines, growing food, and even make some tasty treats!

Minecraft Megabuild: Grades 2nd-8th
For Minecraft players of all skill levels. Welcome to the world of Minecraft MegaBuild! Campers will work together on a secure server in creative mode to design and build a virtual model of downtown brick street Zionsville. Students will learn about modern city planning along with design and engineering concepts related to building construction. Campers will also design and build various other Mega-Structures including skyscrapers and a mall.

Note: Campers do NOT need a computer or a Mojang Minecraft Account.

For Minecraft players of all skill levels. Campers will play a variety of Minecraft games and challenges on a secure Minecraft server. Games will include "Spleef", "Skywars", "Race for the Wool", "Freeze Tag", "Hide & Seek", "Scavenger Hunt", "Team Obstacle Course", "Destroy the Beacon", and many more. The ultimate Minecraft Gaming Camp where campers get to put everything they know about Minecraft to the test!

Note: Campers do NOT need a computer or a Mojang Minecraft Account.

Minecraft Coding & 3D Printing Camp: Grades 4th-8th
For experienced Minecraft players. Learn how to write command blocks, code in Java script, install and manage Minecraft mods, and accelerate your Minecraft game creation skills. Campers will learn the basics of object-oriented computer programming using the award winning Computer Craft Minecraft Mod while incorporating advanced redstoning skills to create complex commands and systems. Campers will also work with 3D Design Software and a Maker Gear 3-D printer to see their 3-D creations come to life.

Note: Campers are encouraged, but not required, to have their own Minecraft account.

Coding is Fun: Grades K-2nd
Using the Ozobot Bit, your littlest engineers will be introduced to the world of coding. The Bit allows for hands on unplugged coding by using an optical sensor to detect color changes in the Bit’s path! With these tiny robots your engineers will code their names, play games, and so much more!!

Creative Game Design: Grades 3rd-6th
Calling all future writers, artists, designers, and game developers!! Engineers in this collaborative camp will enjoy storyboarding their games with character, enemy, and plot development. Using Bloxels, they will turn their interactive stories and physical creations into a digital video game. They will use the Bloxels gameboard and blocks to create the characters, levels, and other art for their games. They capture all of their creations using the Bloxels App, where they customize everything – what it looks like and how elements interact and behave, which turns it all into a fun playable game on the tablet.

Mechanical Toys: Grades K-2nd
Toys have always inspired creativity in children! This week your little engineer will learn concepts in Mechanical Engineering and become expert toy makers! Engineers will design and build a new toy every day!

Minecraft Game & World Design Camp: Grades 3rd-8th
For advanced Minecraft players who have previously attended one of our camps. Campers will go behind-the-scenes to learn how our counselors create the massive worlds and game maps we use at our camps. Campers will then work together to design and create several multi-player games and worlds that will be played on the camp server during the camp week. In addition to advanced Redstone engineering, campers will learn how to manipulate command blocks to track and control game play.

Note: Campers must each have their own active Mojang Minecraft Account & Password or make a request to borrow a temporary account during the camp week.

Minecraft All-Stars Camp: Grades 4th-8th
“Minecraft All-Stars Camp” is only for students who have previously attended a Minecraft camp AND who have been identified by Indy Stem Camp counsellors as having advanced Minecraft gaming skills.  This camp is by invitation/approval only – please contact Indy Stem Camps if you are not sure if this advanced camp is right for your child. This camp will emphasize advanced Minecraft game play including complex Redstone and command block usage.  In addition to playing on our secure educational server campers will learn how to set up their own Minecraft Realms server. Team PVP games including “Island Battle”, “Sky Wars”, and “Walls” will be played.

Note: Campers must each have their own active Mojang Minecraft Account & Password or make a request to borrow a temporary account during the camp week .
