2019 Ukulele

Ukulele For Beginners: Grades 2nd-4th
In our group ukulele class, we will cover the fundamentals of music theory and pedagogy for the ukulele.  The kids will learn basic chord progressions and single melodic lines as well as performing as a soloist and with the uke ensemble.  We will introduce fun and easy tunes to not only add some excitement, but to reinforce technical skills we hope to yield through this course.  Instruments are provided.

PVE Ukulele Club: Grades 3rd-4th
PVE’s Ukulele Club gives 3rd and 4th graders to get a jump start on the ukulele.  We will meet on Tuesday mornings before school at 7:15 to learn the parts of ukulele, how to strum and a few simple chords.  We will prepare songs for a combined performance with the PVE Choir and Orff Ensemble on May 16.  If your child has their own ukulele, please send it with them each week.  If your child does not have a ukulele, they can use one of mine!
